MISSION STATEMENT
The
mission of the Orange County Association of Educational
Media (OCAEM) is to create an environment in which
media specialists can provide opportunities for
students to attain a lifelong love of learning through
the use of books and media.
GOALS
To
nurture professional growth.
To promote reading and the use of media.
To
make the community aware of the importance of media
education.
OBJECTIVES
To
provide professional support to media specialists
by furnishing opportunities to broaden their professional
knowledge.
To
insure that school instructional programs are adequately
supported by media materials.
To
affiliate with other professional organizations
which share our mutual goals. (FAME, FLA, FRA, OCRC,
AECT, ALA)
To
keep the membership and community informed of the
happenings and trends in educational media.
